2. What Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of data: • School/institution details (name, address, contact) • Administrator and teacher account information (name, email) • Student information (name, age, parent contact, batch, fee records, attendance) • Payment transaction records • Usage logs for product improvement We do not collect sensitive personal data such as Aadhaar numbers, financial account details, or health information.
3. How We Use Your Data
Data collected is used solely to: • Provide and operate the BunchUp platform • Process fee collections and generate receipts • Send transactional notifications (fee reminders, receipts) via WhatsApp and email • Improve product features and fix issues We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Neon.tech PostgreSQL, hosted in AWS). We use industry-standard encryption (AES-256) for sensitive fields including payment credentials. Access to production data is restricted to authorised Vareon IT personnel only.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for the duration of your active subscription plus 90 days after cancellation. After 90 days, all organisation data is permanently deleted from our systems. You may request early deletion by contacting support@bunchupapp.com.
6. Your Rights (DPDP Act 2023)

7. Google User Data
BunchUp offers an optional "Connect Google Calendar" feature for academies that want their class schedule synced into BunchUp's Events view. If you choose to connect your Google account, BunchUp requests two scopes via Google's OAuth consent flow: read-only access to your Google Calendar (calendar.readonly) and your basic Google account email address (userinfo.email). The calendar scope is used solely to read your existing calendar events and display them inside BunchUp's Events feature for your own academy's admins and teachers. We do not modify, delete, or create events in your Google Calendar. The email scope is used only to show which Google account is connected on your Settings page, so you can confirm it's the right one. We do not share the calendar data or email we read with any third party, and we do not use either for advertising or any purpose other than displaying it back to you inside BunchUp. You may disconnect Google Calendar access at any time from Settings inside BunchUp, or by revoking BunchUp's access directly from your Google Account permissions page (myaccount.google.com/permissions). Disconnecting stops all further access immediately. BunchUp's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
8. Cookies
BunchUp uses only functional cookies required for authentication (login sessions). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
9. Changes to This Policy
We will notify registered users by email if material changes are made to this policy. Continued use of BunchUp after such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
